ON THE RIVER, WHERE FOLK HAVE LIVED FOREVER...
BACKGROUND
In 2004 we were asked by Sevenoaks Playhouse to create a new musical version of Kenneth Grahame's immortal story. It was our first major musical together and was the Playhouse's most successful show to date.
Listen to On The River, the opening number.
'Sevenoaks Playhouse, under its artistic director Julian Woolford, has been steadily building a reputation for quality theatre…Good natured and full of fun…John’s jaunty music, along with Woolford’s lyrics, play an effective part in the show’s storytelling…It should certainly make you smile.'
